What kind of software do you use for technical texts?

It depends mainly on your needs. For years I have been working with different software tools to be more productive and efficient, such as Trados Studio, Phrase or MemoQ. If we collaborate on an ongoing basis I could even generate terminology glossaries and a database so that your texts come out as polished as possible with exceptional consistency. The choice of software will be determined by the assignment in question, the deadline and your requirements.

How do you search for documentation when translating technical documents?

Beyond my previous training, documentation is fundamental for every good translator. Knowing how to find the right resource solves and speeds up most of the questions that arise during a translation assignment. That is why, from the very beginning, I always make sure that my resources are up to date and still reliable.
