Liaison interpreting occurs when the interpreter switches from one language to another. it is often used in business meetings, events with a minimum audience, medical or administrative appointments.
This interpretation mode appears when the speaker talks for minutes and then gives the floor to the interpreter. Throughout the presentation this process is repeated. It is usually used in workshops, round tables, training sessions or masterclasses.
This interpretation type occurs when a large audience in presentations or lectures. In this situations, the speaker talks at the same time of the interpreter, who translates the message in real time.

How do you rate an interpreting service?
First of all, the type of interpretation should be defined and then exact specifications for the service should be discussed. Would it be essential to stay on site for certain days? Will documentation be provided beforehand? Do you need interpreting services for a few hours or full days? Among other questions. Depending on the answers, the rate, usually per hour, will change. Do you always work as an In-Person Interpreter?
